Texas
You have heard the slogan "Everything is bigger in Texas” – Texas is the second-largest state (after Alaska), is actually bigger than France. Before Texas was a state, it was a Nation, thus the nickname The Lone Star State, originated from the star on the 1836 flag of the Republic of Texas. And our home for five wonderful years!

Dilapidated Gas Station I
This is a neglected and rather shabby part of a little town called Navasota in Texas, about an hour drive from Houston. Navasota is – (or perhaps was or could be…?) a somewhat charming little town with the storefronts we recognize from old western movies, you know; after the cowboys with their harsh and rough, but oh so self-assured smile have entered the sleepy little town. It is abandoned and lonely, the gas station have served its last costumer a long time ago. It could not offer us gas or hot dogs, but something far more valuable; a great motif!
