Tinos is an island of Cyclades in Greece. In ancient times, Tinos was known as Ophiussa (from ophis, Greek for snake) and Hydroessa (from hydor, Greek for water). The island,is well known for the Church of Panagia Evangelistria
, the major Marian shrine
in Greece, but it should also be know for its beautiful sunsets with a marvelous light.
Photo taken with a simple, small pocket camera - and lack some of the SLR qualities, but we still like it enough to include it in our gallery.
