La Boheme III Finally - The sad lovestory in La Boheme; Mimi and Rodolfo. Rodolfo meets Mimi and he instantly falls in love with the sweet girl who makes silk flowers. Mimi might be one of the most beloved heroine in any opera, and their romance has it all, sweetness and tragedy — Mimi is mortally ill and at the end she dies. A splendid performance, both in acting and music, by Daniella Carvalho and David Guzman. As you have seen, we had a fun time at the dress rehearsal - and learned a lot too, not easy to get the good stage shots with that light they use; it is composed of spots of different colors, so “weird” colored shadows tended to be a problem and then the skin tone deviated from the natural one. As you can see in the previous shot, high ISO were sometimes needed and that means some noise. For some of the shots we were able to use remote controlled flashes mounted on tripods, and then the yellow and blue stagespots and shadows were manageable.
