HDR
HDR or High Dynamic Range. Sometimes we miss the dynamic range from the old film days. However, HDR offers some interesting possibilities, and we have quite a lot of fun playing around with it. A little goes a long way but sometimes it's fun to go the whole hog too.... I you want to know more; Vanilla Days offer a good HDR Tutorial!
Utstein Monastery Utstein Monastery is the only medieval remains of its kind in Norway, located on Klosterøy (or Abbey island) close to Stavanger. Built in 1260 on the site of an earlier "Royal Farm". It was home to Augustine monks until the Reformation, when it fell into disrepair. Owned by the state since 1700, it was a home and farmhouse until restoration began. Today it is popular for concerts, weddings, meetings and as a museum. it has history in abundance. ![Around the bend<br />
We do not know what is around the bend, but the stark industrial setting and strange light (enhanced using HDR) attracted us.<br />
And even though this is industry and not wood, it still reminded us about Robert Frost beautiful poem; The Road Not Taken.<br />
