Homecoming Queen

Galveston Man
He could have been the old man and the sea. He was sitting on this step to the beach at Galveston, overlooking the rebuilding of this house, which was destroyed by the hurricane Ike. We are back at the same spot, eight month later, and there he is, with his beer. Looking and more than willing to have a chat, about the hurricane, the history, the life after.
After our little chat we ask if we can take a photo of him, and he smiles and says; I dont mind, I dont mind. So here he is – the man from the Galveston beach.

Tractor
A change from the old cars, here is an old tractor.
The first engine-powered farm tractors used steam and were introduced in 1868.
Henry Ford produced his first experimental gasoline powered tractor in 1907. it was referred to as an “automobile plow” and the name tractor was not used.

Galveston Beach Teeth
Imagine that Ike turned the sea into a big mouth, who tried to chew the little beach-town Galveston to pieces - it almost succeeded too, but now the remains stands like rotten teeth…
