“To the complaint, 'There are no people in these photographs,' I respond, There are always two people: the photographer and the viewer.”~ Ansel Adams
Dilapidated Gas Station I
This is a neglected and rather shabby part of a little town called Navasota in Texas, about an hour drive from Houston. Navasota is – (or perhaps was or could be…?) a somewhat charming little town with the storefronts we recognize from old western movies, you know; after the cowboys with their harsh and rough, but oh so self-assured smile have entered the sleepy little town. It is abandoned and lonely, the gas station have served its last costumer a long time ago. It could not offer us gas or hot dogs, but something far more valuable; a great motif!
